Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group enter areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.
What’s Next?
According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.
